Professor Daniela Ruggeri is an Associate Professor of Management Accounting and Business Administration at the Department of Economics and Business, University of Catania. Her main research areas include digitalisation in management accounting; accounting information systems; and management control tools and decision-making processes in private and public contexts. She teaches several courses at PhD, MSc, and undergraduate level, the main teaching areas include Management Control and Reporting for Decision-Making. She was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (USA), in 2010. In 2026, she was also a Visiting Scholar for teaching activities at the Academia de Studii Economice din București, Faculty of Agrifood and Environmental Economics, Bucharest, Romania. She has published several academic papers in international journals, including Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management, Journal of Management and Governance, Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change, and Journal of Management Control.
