Roberto Leonardo Rana is a Full Professor of Commodity Science at the University of Foggia, where he coordinates the Ph.D. program in Economics and Finance of Territorial Sustainability and Well-being. He holds degrees in Natural and Biological Sciences and earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Effects of Goods Production Cycles from the University of Bari (Italy). His research centers on environmental sustainability, the circular economy, life cycle assessment, and blockchain applications in agriculture and tourism. Prof. Rana has contributed to major international research projects, including Horizon 2020 ("SKIN"), FP7 ("STAR-AgroEnergy"), and INTERREG ("E-PARKs"), and serves as an expert lecturer for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Environmental Risk Assessment. At the University of Foggia, he teaches courses on Commodity Science, Corporate Environmental Responsibility, Green New Deal and Environmental Education. His scientific record includes almost 2,000 Scopus citations across 150 publications, with an h-index of 21.
