Vera Amicarelli is an Associate Professor, Ph.D. in Commodity Science, at the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. She teaches “Industrial Ecology”, “Quality Environment and Sustainability” and “Resource and Waste Management” in both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She is a Professor Committee member in the “Economics and Management” Ph.D. course and advisor of related Ph.D. projects. Her current research interests mainly focus on circular economy measurement; natural resources and waste management; and environmental indicators (water and carbon footprint). She is author of more than 80 papers published in a wide range of international peer-reviewed journals, volumes and conference proceedings. She is member of some international scientific journals Editorial Board, and she serves as Guest Editor and/or Reviewer for several international scientific journals and related Special Issues. From 2017 until 2024 she has been Department Delegate for the Erasmus+ program and member of the University of Bari Aldo Moro Erasmus+ Task Force. From 2007 she is Responsible Person of several Agreements with European Partners Universities (Romania, Portugal, Spain, Germany). She is member of different national and international research groups whose principal activities are writing scientific articles, project proposals and consolidating international networks. She is member of the Italian Commodity Science Academy (AISME), the International Society of Commodity Science and Technology (IGWT), and the Italian Circular Economy Stakeholders Platform (ICESP).
